Pacific Marine Heritage Legacy Park This North Pender Island park consists of 230 hectares of land, mountains and Roe Lake. The largest and newest park on the Penders, it encompasses Roesland and the nearby Malahat properties. Visitors can find beaches, a lake, and day use facilities in the park. Mount Norman Regional Park This regional park boasts the highest viewpoint on South Pender Island, Mt. Norman, at 244m. The challenging hike up will be rewarded by magnificent views of the other Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands. This park is connected to Beaumont Provincial Marine Park. Medicine Beach This newly acquired nature sanctuary offers amazing bird watching opportunities, as well as beachcombing and picknicking. Medicine Beach is one of the few remaining wetlands in Southern Gulf Islands. The Virginia rail, an endangered bird, along with various other birds and animals, reside in the sanctuary. Address: . Beaumont Marine Provincial Park One of the most frequented marine parks on the Gulf Islands, visitors to Beaumont Provincial Marine Park may picnic, boat-in camp, fish, canoe or kayak.
